ClearSay helps customers search for South African businesses, check available company information and read customer experiences before making a decision.

Before you start: Make sure the South Africa is selected and use the trading name customers are most likely to recognise.

Step 1: Open ClearSay

Visit ClearSay.co.za.

Step 2: Use the search bar

Enter the business name in the search field. Start with the most distinctive part of the name rather than adding a long service description.

Step 3: Check the search results

Review the returned listings and select the business that appears to match the company you need.

Step 4: Confirm the correct business profile

Businesses can have similar names, so compare the available profile information.

  • Business name
  • Business category
  • Address or service area
  • Telephone number
  • Website
  • ClearSay rating and review count
  • Claimed or verified listing status, where shown

Step 5: Read the reviews

Open the Reviews & Ratings section and read the detail and context of individual reviews. Do not rely only on the overall star score.

Step 6: Browse by category

If you do not know the exact company name, browse the relevant ClearSay business category and compare the available profiles.

The business does not appear

  1. Check the spelling.
  2. Try the registered company name.
  3. Try the public trading name.
  4. Remove words such as Limited or Ltd.
  5. Search using a shorter version of the name.
  6. Browse the most relevant business category.

Add a missing business

If no correct listing exists, follow the guide on how to add a business to ClearSay. Search carefully first to avoid creating a duplicate profile.
